The Perfect Marriage: A Completely Gripping Psychological Suspense Novel

Would you defend your husband if he was accused of killing his mistress?

Would you defend your husband if he was accused of killing his mistress?

What could easily be mistaken as an adaption from a Lifetime Original Series, Jeneva Rose delivers a page turning suspense thriller that is full of twists from beginning to end with The Perfect Marriage.

Although domestic noir is not my typical genre of choice, in fact fiction reads in general are often secondary for me in place of more developmental, scientific or biographical works, this book definitely shifted that framework.

After recently completing Madeline Miller’s Song of Achilles (another really great read I must say, and Miller’s first book – major kudos), I was in search of another work of fiction to balance my traditionally non-fiction heavy loads and came across this NYT Best Seller recommendation from my Kindle App. Taking a chance I started and was fully immersed, thrilled and completed in less than a few hours of reading time.

The back and forth first person perspective of events between the two main characters Sarah Morgan and her husband Adam does take a few cycles to get into, but once the flow is established, it’s seamless. Everything about this novel is captivating, from the plot to the individual characters and overall feel.

The fact that I’m even writing a reading review on it speaks volumes to me personally and it is definitely a book I’d recommend to read, even if to just change up the cadence in some of your other more traditional stacks.

Give it a gander, curious to hear your perspectives.

Please feel free to recommend anything you find interesting as well, I’m continually on the look out for new and exciting works from anywhere.

Regardless if it’s this novel or something else entirely, keep sharing the love and enjoyment of reading and writing.

Happy Reading
